Current Associated Student of the University of California, Berkeley MEMSSA Senator

Sumayyah is a third year UC Berkeley student. She is currently majoring in Social Welfare. As a senator, she strives to achieve equity and social justice through representing and partnering with MEMSSA students.
 
Prior to being elected, Din worked as communications director in Mohabbat’s office during her freshman year. During her sophomore year, she worked with various organizing efforts, including a campaign to pass Proposition 47, which passed. She has also been speaking to Councilmember Jesse Arreguin and others on the issue of police militarization.
