Armenian Student Association

The UC Berkeley Armenian Student Association cultivates a spirit of appreciation toward Armenian history, heritage, and culture through active cultural functions, historical and political awareness, as well as, social and recreational events. It strives to create an association where Armenians and non-Armenians alike can come together, without any outside political affiliations and/or influence.

The Armenians are an ancient people who speak an Indo-European language and have traditionally inhabited the border regions of Eurasia. Armenians call themselves hai (from the name of Hayk, a legendary hero).

This is Armenian: A culture of 3000+ years of history; one of the oldest and richest civilizations of the world; a beautiful people living in and outside of their homeland; the first Chrisitian nation in the world; survivors of the first genocide of the 20th century; and still unrecognized today.

Welcome to the family.
